Abstract:
This is a two part presentation with Part 1 providing an introduction to software quality assurance and Part 2 detailing the characteristics of software that require special approaches, and an overview of ASQ�s Certified Software Quality Engineer Body of Knowledge (BOK).

The Membership Recognition Event will commence after the presentation.

Speaker(s):

Murali Krishnan is employed as a Sr. Information Technology Professional at MPI Research. Prior to his current role as an IT Business Partner, he was a Software Quality Lead at MPI. He has been active in the field of Software Quality Assurance (SQA) and has several years of experience in both leading and implementing various SQA initiatives. He has a Master�s in Computer Science and a Bachelor's in Computer Science Engineering. He is a Senior Member of ASQ and a Certified Software Quality Engineer. He is also the current Chair of the ASQ's Kalamazoo-Battle Creek 1003 Section.

David Walker has a Master Of Science Degree in Computer Science from Northwestern University, an ASQ certification as a Software Quality Engineer, SEI (Software Engineering Institute) Authorization as a CMMI Instructor, and owns his own consulting practice, David Walker SPCS, LLC, a SEI Partner. Through 23 years, he has been employed in the Software domain with Reuters, AT&T Bell Laboratories, Motorola, Abbott Laboratories, Pfizer, Johnson Controls, and others through various consulting engagements. He is a 20 year member of ASQ and immediate past Chair of the Software Division. Since 2005, he has served on the AAMI Software Standards Committee and participated in the US review of IEC 62304 Medical Device Software Lifecycle. He lives in Southwest Michigan with his wife and two children.
