Is it winter yet? Its times like this, Im glad we have global warming! We hope your holidays were great and you had a chance to refresh yourself for 2010. No doubt there are still plenty of Quality opportunities out there for us all.
Footballs winding down(or up depending on your perspective). And those Buckeyes finished another very successful season. GO BUCKS!
This months meeting should be a good one. We will again be using the Mansfield Knights of Columbus Hall. And it has proven itself to be a warm comfortable meeting place with fine food and drink. And this month we have our own Jeff Massoni speaking on Problem Solving, a subject near and dear to many of our hearts. Many of you have heard Jeff before and know him to be a very capable speaker on quality.
So Id like to welcome all of you to come out next week to enjoy a rewarding evening with your quality colleagues.
Sorry to say I have not been made aware of any recent local quality job opportunities. But the economy is coming back and more quality jobs should follow soon. If you want to pass along any local quality job opportunities for me to share, please do. Also, if you or anyone in our Mansfield ASQ that you know has changed email addresses lately, please, please, please let me know. I maintain the sections email distribution list. But that list is only as good as the information Im given. So please help me maintain it in a quality fashion.

Best regards and stay warm,

Joe Hildebrand

p.s. our monthly meetings are a relatively inexpensive way to earn .3 rus toward ASQ recertification

2.) Chairman's Corner :

As I write this Christmas is over and the New Year is practically upon us. I hope that everyone had a super Christmas and is looking forward to the New Year. I can't believe that this year is practically over with.

With 2010 coming, I hope that the economy will start to recover. Although I do not believe that the recovery will be the same as it was previously. all of us are going to have to learn to do things smarter, than we did previously. With that said, I would like for all of us to evaluate our particular situations and strive to improve our status throughout the coming year.

We can start by attending the ASQ Section meetings this coming year. The board has done what it can, with the input that we received, to bring you topics that are beneficial to the membership and their positions. Since we are only meeting once a month and there are tours and demonstrations, the number of classes is limited. It is my heart felt opinion that the classes we present can substitute for some of the
training we must do to continually improve our organizations. I realize that the training budget is one of the first things that most organizations either cut out or cut back on in the time of recession.

Believe we have another stellar class being presented at our January meeting. See as many of you as we can at the meeting.

Yours in quality,
Homer Blood hart.
