Abstract:For many in a business setting, meetings are a necessary and often used strategy to bounce around ideas, share concerns and ultimately get tasks completed. However, the format of longer, more formal meetings does not always produce the desired results. Smaller team-focused meetings held on a daily basis can encourage team members to be open and honest about their tasks, goals and challenges. In these meetings, typically supervisors or managers will remain quiet, but listen to each team member describe their daily tasks and the hurdles that keep them from finishing these tasks.
