Verifier features code quality compliance
Cognex Corporation has introduced the DataMan 8072 verifier for direct part mark (DPM) verification. The DataMan 8072V helps those printing or marking DPM codes demonstrate code quality and certify readability. The DataMan 8072V tests direct part mark code performance against fixed quality parameters—including formatting and optical factors that affect readability—and assigns each code a grade to help customers meet internal standards and adhere to industry regulations.
The DataMan 8072V offers a fast processing engine and high-resolution camera to capture and grade even the most difficult codes. As the only DPM verifier with 30, 45, and 90-degree lighting options, the DataMan 8072V illuminates codes on textured, curved and even recessed surfaces. High-speed location and decoding capabilities—combined with robust grading algorithms—provide detailed, repeatable results.

More choices for protection and surface coatings
LINE-X Protective Coatings and Ultimate Linings have combined to provide IXS coatings—polyurea protective coatings for manufacturing and industrial applications. Through a combined coatings portfolio, customers have access to proprietary coatings ranging from high-pressure polyureas and cartridge systems to specialty formulations developed for fire resistance, thin-build application, potable water storage, chemical resistance and UV stability.
Manufacturing and industrial customers will benefit from shared polyurea application expertise, spray equipment installation and coatings development.
Modules are available in eight models
Silicon Designs has announced the Model 2422H, low-voltage, specialty hermetic, MEMS variable capacitive accelerometer modules. The Model 2422H series is designed for zero-to-medium frequency vibration and acceleration sensing in commercial and industrial applications in which a hermetically sealed case and +5 VDC regulated power supply are absolute requirements.
It is available in eight models, with standard ranges from ±2 g to ±400 g. Units also are relatively insensitive to temperature changes and gradients over a standard operating temperature range of −55°C to +125°C. The Model 2422H series incorporates Silicon Designs’ own MEMS accelerometer chip for an enhanced bias and scale factor over temperature performance specification. Modules are packaged in a rugged, IP67 rated, lightweight titanium case for added protection from moisture, dust, corrosion and other contaminants.

Gages can store 200 readings
L.S. Starrett Co. has introduced a range of Digital Electronic Indicators conforming to true American Gage Design (AGD) Group 1 dimensions, providing the ability to replace traditional mechanical indicating applications in the smallest AGD size specification class. Starrett 2700 Electronic Indicators match the true AGD Group 1 dimensions of 1.70″/43mm diameter.
The Starrett 2700 Indicators feature a 1.70″ diameter, 270-degree rotating bezel, allowing different user-viewing preferences. The gages are available in two displays—a single LCD Numeric IQ model (the largest of its class) with low battery warning and programmable ratios, or a Numeric/Analog AD model showing the two displays simultaneously.
The gages can store and view 200 readings internally. Stored readings can be downloaded with included software and a USB-style cable. Starrett 2700 Digital Indicators have a CR2032 cell long-life battery that can last up to 3,000 hours under typical use.

LVDT offers quick and easy setup
NewTek Sensor Solutions’ NT-C-6000 Quik-Cal linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) signal conditioner offers an AC LVDT setup for quick configuration. Workers can set zero and full-scale output using front panel push buttons while LED indicators provide prompts for the calibration process. Color-coded plug-in screw terminals further simplify equipment setup. These smart signal conditioners self-diagnose and indicate LVDT failure while providing cybersecurity lockout and tamper detection.
The DIN-Rail mountable unit is ideal for use in a variety of industrial applications including factory automation, materials testing, turbine control systems, steam valve positioning, packaging equipment and gaging.
