Methods Machine Tools has introduced the extended-travel 700 series VisionGauge digital comparator. The extended travel machine can accommodate parts weighing up to 100 lbs., making it ideal for larger and heavier parts such as those found in the industrial gas turbine industry.
The VisionGauge enables users to view parts from all sides and is fully automated. The system has complete integrated 5-axis corrections and dynamic fixture correction, as well as full 3-D mapping for maximum accuracy. The VisionGauge has an optical system designed for an extended depth of field.
VisionGauge digital optical comparators are a fully digital drop-in replacement for traditional optical comparators. The comparators work directly with the part’s CAD data and do not require any overlays, Mylars or templates.

A large, high-contrast display with 11mm digits enables accurate fatigue-free reading, and IP 67-rated construction delivers protection against dust and temporary water immersion. The finished plastic components also provide chemical resistance.
The calipers offer a zero-reference system that automatically stores the zero position for further measurements.
When the caliper is in standby mode and integrated wireless is deactivated, almost no power is required, thus extending battery life.
The Microcor Wireless Transmitter (MWT) is based on Cosasco’s Microcor high-resolution corrosion measurement technology. The MWT uses high resolution metal loss measurement that provides 18-bit resolution and is rated for operation in hazardous locations.
The allowable operating range of -40°C to 70°C works in harsh environments from the arctic to the deserts.
The MWT is available with ISA100 Wireless or Wireless HART 7 communications protocol for seamless integration with Yokogawa, Emerson and other wireless process systems.

Sludge level transmitter
The submersible lift station sludge level transmitter Model 311-M351 from GP:50 features an all-stainless steel construction for reliability within wastewater lift station monitoring applications. Its corrosion-resistant design is submersible to 1,100 ft. The submersible level transmitter further incorporates a 3-in. diameter clog-resistant sensing diaphragm and corrosion-resistant protective baffle plate, both of which eliminate process clogging.
These features facilitate unrestricted high-accuracy level depth measurements in heavy sludge or foam conditions. The baffle plate reduces risks of effluent sensor damage, particularly in lift station applications where particulate matter is present.
Typical applications for the Model 311-M351 include submersible pump lift station level monitoring, process sumps, lift stations, wet wells, water tanks and reservoirs, ponds, process sludge and municipal wastewater environments.
