Differential pressure transducers
GP:50 has released its Model 216/316 series of high-line differential pressure transducers. The series is available in many pressure ranges and with line pressure options up to 5,000 pounds per square inch. The Model 216 is offered with choice of either 0-5 or 0-10 volts direct current output, while the Model 316 is a loop-powered unit. They are available with choice of unidirectional or bidirectional output, as well as with an accuracy specification of up to ±0.05% full-scale output.
The GP:50 Model 216/316 series is ideal for automotive and aerospace test stands, pressure decay for leak testing, emissions and energy management and in-laboratory research and development.
Pepperl+Fuchs’ R2000 UHD laser scanner is an IP65-rated 2-D photoelectric sensor that leverages pulse-ranging technology and a rotating head to deliver high-resolution distance measurement. Combined with a gapless 360° measuring angle and interactive wrap-around LED display, the result is highly reliable detection of objects with quick visual status indication and access to extensive measurement data.
R2000 UHD laser scanners feature a high 50Hz scan rate, enabling them to detect protrusions or obstacles over a large area and at high speeds, and are ideal for material handling and automated storage and retrieval applications. The gapless 360° scanning angle is great for positioning, area monitoring or collision avoidance applications. Extremely high angular resolution and precise measurement provide accurate navigation for autonomous vehicles or mobile robots.
Heidenhain’s MSE 1000 modular multiplexor allows connection for up to 250 devices. The acquisition of measured values via Ethernet is useful in production line measurement systems and metrology applications. It permits the user to plug in nearly any type of gauge and collect all the data in one location.
In its basic configuration, the MSE 1000 consists of a power module and a basic communication module. After that, it can be customized as needed. Additional modules can be attached to allow for the connection of incremental and absolute linear encoders, rotary encoders and analog inputs. The modules are mounted on a standard digital input rail in an electrical cabinet out of the way of the production line.
GE’s Mentor Visual iQ VideoProbe is designed for use across several industries such as aerospace, power generation and oil and gas. It can alert technicians to any material or component indications that can adversely affect the integrity or safety of the equipment.
GE Mentor Visual iQ VideoProbe features a touchscreen interface, on-screen keyboard and ergonomic buttons. Menu-directed inspection guides users through the inspection process and organizes results for reporting. It is built for real-time collaboration, and technicians can connect directly with experts from the field to get advice, share screens and images of the inspection site, make notes and more accurately assess the area, helping to expedite the inspection process.
Rohrback Cosasco Systems has introduced a magnetic retriever. The Magnetriever is a non-telescoping retrieval tool for high-pressure corrosion monitoring systems. It magnetically couples the internal and external drive mechanisms of the tool for insertion and retrieval of corrosion probes and coupons.
The main mechanism of the magnetic retriever is comprised of three parts: a pressure-retaining outer barrel, movable outer magnetic assembly and inner magnetic drive assembly with socket adapter. A single retriever can easily be modified to different lengths by switching out the barrel. Elimination of the internal moving seals removes the increased resistance to movement that these seals produce as system pressure increases, making operation as easy at high pressure as it is at low pressure.
Leine and Linde’s 800 rotary encoder series includes an integrated over-speed capability with programmable switching speeds. By incorporating the relay outputs into the encoder, the additional wiring and enclosure associated with the external solution are eliminated. This simplifies cabling, and improves reliability by reducing the number of components and interconnects.
The programmable over-speed provides flexibility as the same unit may be applied to different installations in the plant and programmed with specific settings during installation. Programming is done over USB with the help of software. Up to three separate relay outputs can be configured with different switching speeds. Over-speed outputs are available for the 850 shaft encoder and 861/862 through-shaft encoders.
