Mahr Federal’s MarCal line of calipers includes standard, special and universal digital, dial and mechanical calipers, as well as workshop calipers, depth calipers and a line of linear machine scales with digital display.
The digital caliper line offers lapped guideways and a reference system that retains the zero-position setting. There are several data output options, including wireless, and the calipers are available with protection against dust and immersion to class IP67.
The line also features a wide range of sizes, and blade and anvil configurations. This includes a number of specially designed contact tips for measuring special part characteristics, and even jaws with replaceable and configurable contact points.
Overmolded valve plug cordsets
Turck’s overmolded valve plug cordsets eliminate the need for an additional sealing gasket, ensuring performance in harsh environments. They feature a translucent molding material with embedded LEDs. This provides visibility for power indication from any angle with black, grey, yellow and clear coloring options to accommodate many applications.
Overmolded valve plug cordsets conform to the EN 17 5301-803 standard for electrical connectors, which service hydraulic and pneumatic solenoid valves as well as pressure sensors. Solenoid valves control the flow of gas or liquid in cylinders, fluid power motors or larger industrial valves and are ideal for a variety of industries, including food and beverage, oil and gas refineries, water treatment facilities, chemical and petro-chemical, and pharmaceutical.
Thermally conductive compounds
Dow Corning has released two products to its line of thermal interface materials—the TC-5622 and TC-5351 thermally conductive compounds—to help electronics designers and manufacturers address thermal challenges.
The TC-5622 thermally conductive compound offers thermal performance and stability against hardening or dry-out in end-use applications. It eliminates the need for common solvent diluents in the formulation, which can evaporate over time.
The TC-5351 thermally conductive compound is designed for applications demanding resistance to high temperatures and large gap thicknesses such as automotive, power electronics and high-brightness LED lighting applications. It is ideal for vertical applications requiring a thermal material able to remove heat without flowing out of the gap or changing viscosity as temperatures rise.
Flood prevention switches
Standex-Meder Electronics has announced a line of flood prevention switches (FPS), which safeguard heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) environments from condensate overflow buildup. These lowvoltage switches are ideal for commercial and residential HVAC applications. Tee, elbow and bracket models are available with multiple fittings to accommodate many applications.
If a clogged air conditioning condensate drain causes the water level in the main or auxiliary drain pipe to rise, the FPS shuts off the system, preventing possible overflow that could damage floors, walls and ceilings.
Reference pressure gage
Fluke Calibration’s 2700G series reference pressure gages are ideal for calibration labs and instrument shops. The 2700G series can be paired with the Fluke 700PTPK and 700HTPK test pressure kits for a portable pressure testing solution, or with the Fluke Calibration P5500 series comparison test pumps for a benchtop pressure calibration solution.
The gages offer precision pressure measurement with full-scale ranges from 100 kPa to 70 MPa. The gage comes standard with a USB cable that can be used to communicate with a computer or to provide power to the gage through the supplied universal power supply. The gages can be used with Fluke Compass software for automated recording of pressure calibration data.
Kistler has introduced the Type 9260AA, a portable multi-component force plate, designed to make high-accuracy measurements of ground reaction force, moment and center of pressure, in support of clinical gait, running and balance analysis applications.
The design of the Kistler Type 9260AA incorporates the use of a multi-component piezoelectric force sensor. The force plate features a compact, lightweight aluminum composite allowing for portable use on flat surfaces. The top plate also can be covered with any type of flooring material without negative effects on offset or linearity.
