GearWrench has released the 120XP ratchet. The hand tool features 120 positions for every full rotation, allowing it to turn fasteners with a swing arc of as little as three degrees. Its design makes it easy for automotive technicians to reach fasteners in severely limited access applications.
The 120XP has a 60-tooth gear that alternately engages its double-stacked pawl technology to produce the 120 positions and three-degree swing arc. The ratchet’s teardrop-shaped head has a low profile, which also improves access in tight spaces. The product exceeds the American Society of Mechanical Engineers strength requirements.
The 120XP ratchet’s long handle is ergonomically designed to provide comfort and a good grip for users.
Optical transmission probe
Marposs’ OP32 compact optical probing system is designed for use in micro-milling machines, small machining centers and in machines with a limited working area.
In the OP32, the probe is integrated in the transmitter module, while measuring data is transmitted to the computerized numeral-controlled (CNC) machine through a receiver and interface.

Wireless corrosion transmitter
The Corrater CWT-9020 LPR wireless corrosion transmitter from Rohrback Cosasco is designed for online corrosion monitoring of water systems in electrically hazardous areas.
After installation, computed corrosion rate and pitting tendency are transferred from the gateway directly into your distributed control system or a specialty software package for smaller-scale systems. The wireless corrosion transmitters are configured using a direct connection to a PC or laptop in a safe area. It also allows for configuration in hazardous locations.
Standex-Meder Electronics has released the KT Series of high-isolation reed relays. The KT Series is ideal for use in green applications, such as photovoltaic technology or hybrid vehicles. It is particularly helpful in measuring isolation resistance across several components in a solar energy system prior to grid connection, preventing injury or further current leakage.
It is available in three coil voltages of 5V, 12V and 24V, and all three versions are available in either surface or through-hole mounting. They are packaged in a hermetically sealed thermoset molded encapsulation with switching voltages of 1000V and coil resistances of 150 Ohms.
Ultrasonic thickness gage
Olympus has introduced the handheld 45MG ultrasonic thickness gage, a compact device featuring measurement and software options. The thickness gage is compatible with Olympus’ dual-element and single-element transducers. Applications range from wall-thinning measurements of internally corroded pipes using dual-element probes to precise thickness measurements of thin materials using single-element transducers.
When used with the code-activated single-element transducer option, the 45MG is capable of making thickness measurements on many materials, including metals, plastics, composites, glass and ceramics. This feature allows for precise measurements with a resolution of 0.0001 in. or 0.001 mm.
The 45MG is built for use in a wide range of weather conditions and difficult inspection environments.
Meggitt Sensing Systems has announced the Endevco model 7268C, a miniature triaxial piezoresistive accelerometer series designed for the high-reliability measurement of short-duration shock parameters across three axes and in three orthogonal directions. It is suited for applications in which impact source or direction may be less apparent.
The sensor also incorporates integral mechanical stops for added ruggedness and over-range protection, with two fixed resistors for per-axis shunt calibration. The Endevco model 7268C series is ideal for vehicle crash testing, crash sled testing, general shock monitoring or short duration shock testing when used within specified ranges.
Optical diffuse material
Gigahertz-Optik now offers its optical diffuse material (ODM) pigmented in different grades of gray. White diffuse reflecting synthetic material with 98% reflection is used in many optical applications, including integrated sphere coating, laser cavities or reflectance standards. Gray-scale material at different reflectance levels is required in many calibration tasks, such as qualifying the linearity of optical sensors.
Based on pure polytetrafluoroethylene ODM, the material is doped with different density black pigments. Raw material in plate and block form, as well as machined reflectance plates and reflectance standards with protective housings, are available. Gray-scale ODM with reflectance values of 2%, 20%, 50% and 70% are stocked. Other reflectance values are available on request.
