Abstract:In order to monitor whether leadership decisions were being implemented properly, the Nebraska Medical Center instituted deployment checks. While this provided valuable data about deployment, the NMC gained even more value from the insights the check provided into organizational culture and the effectiveness of leadership decisions. They developed a list of the key processes and approaches that constituted their organizational culture. This was turned into a deployment tally which was used in the checks, which were performed by leaders on front line employees and managers and aggregated to identify areas of low deployment.
