Abstract:As part of an earlier process-improvement initiative to develop standard processes for project management, Intel’s IT group introduced quality assurance audits to help measure the progress in process compliance and improvement. By 2007, the number of standard processes had increased markedly while audit resources remained constant, and management wanted the same level of compliance measurement for each project. Managers were provided with a simple scorecard that used criteria defined in existing audit checklists as a basis.
