Abstract:Seeking to further the economic case for quality, ASQ’s Pittsburg section invited local business executives to share their perspectives on how quality adds value to their companies. “Nonquality” managers with a business focus from ASQ members’ own companies were also invited to expose more people to executives that believed in quality. Some of the ideas expressed to advance the quality cause include securing a few quick successes to build credibility, aligning initiatives with the company’s strategic plan, and finding new uses for quality tools in more areas.
