Abstract:Although lead has been banned in paint for more than 30 years, the record number of toy recall notices last year point to a continuing problem. While other major toy producers who rely on foreign suppliers have been caught up in an endless wave of recalls, construction toy manufacturer K’NEX is quick to acclaim its “Made in the U.S.A.” status. K’NEX uses the same supplier partnership selection as most organizations, but how closely the supplier sticks to a creed K’NEX has followed for years is crucial. K’NEX believes that if you find high-quality suppliers and treat them well, quality will be better over time and cost savings will follow.
