Abstract:In today's environment of global outsourcing, supplier quality management must transform itself from simply measuring supplier compliance to gathering knowledge, managing risk, and executing project management. Total quality management (TQM) ensures processes are followed and customers are satisfied. Companies might need to realign their organizational structures and cultures to realize the full benefits of supply chain integration. The Supply Chain Operations Resource (SCOR) model provides organizations with the ability to build the information support infrastructure to effectively manage the supply chain.
