- When it appears in My Computer (like any external drive), open the "Documents" folder and drag the PDF into it.
- If you’re in a file other than Personal Docs or All My Items, select "Personal Docs" from the top of the Kindle’s home page.
- The file will appear in "Personal Docs," and you are ready to read.
Barnes & Noble Nook - Connect your Nook via USB to your PC.
- When it appears in My Computer (like any external drive), open the "my documents" folder and drag the PDF into it.
- In your Nook, the file will appear in "My Documents" within the "My Library" area.
iPad - Plug the iPad into a computer. It will show up as an external storage device.
- Drag and drop files onto its icon. You can also drag any PDF files and drop them in iTunes. iTunes will update them on your device.
Alternately, those with a Google account can upload PDF e-books to Google Docs, and view the PDF files as standard Web pages in the iPad Web browser.
