ISO 9000 and Organizational Effectiveness: A Systematic Review

Abstract: The authors conduct a systematic review of empirical studies of the ISO 9000 standard's impact. Most of the reviewed studies focused on positive impacts. This review highlights the need for more critical and diversified approaches to examining ISO 9000. It also reveals some of the practical implications of ISO 9000 for managers.
