Article Abstract

At Hartmann, the excellent quality of products and services has been a very important aspect of its business for the last one hundred and twelve years. Hartmann continues to follow the tradition and credo established by Hartmann's founder Joseph Hartmann: We shall build our product so fine that it will stand as a symbol of supremacy.

Hartmann is dedicated m producing high quality products which have a genuine price value relationship and which are superior to that of its competitors. The company is making tremendous investments to this end and continues to support programs, equipment and technology to accomplish its goal.

This paper will provide a broad overview of how "Total Quality" permeates every aspect of Hartmann's People, Process and Products both internally and externally. Involvement of every associate within the company continues the Hartmann tradition. Upper management provides active guidance and leadership to insure excellence is achieved in everything that Hartmann does. Specific approaches will be illustrated that have resulted in Hartmann's success.

Today, Hartmann continues to build on its reputation for Quality which gives this company the marketing edge that will carry it into the 1990's and beyond.
