Article Abstract

Three kinds of rectifying inspection plans are considered for which the average total inspection is to be minimized subject to particular side conditions. Two of these, AOQL and LTPD (also called LQL) plans are well-known. The third, called outgoing quality plans is a more recent development. With modern computers any of the three types of plans can be found easily using the simple interactive program presented.
