Article Abstract

As the complexity of electronic equipment increases, the battle for maintaining reliability becomes ever more difficult and expensive. Yet, competitive forces and the consumerism philosophy constantly demand higher product reliability. Several approaches have been utilized to meet this demand. These include rigid quality control [2], parts screening [12], redundancy [3], and equipment burn-in. The latter technique is the subject of this article.
