Article Abstract

The author observes that industrial operations seldom follow strictly a predicted operational pattern based on initial theoretical specifications. One of the objects of statistical quality control is to provide a numerical evaluation of the operational aberrations. He suggests a three step manufacturing procedure that should aim at the closest possible agreement between the theoretical design specifications and measurements made on the end product.
