Article Abstract

When investigating the joint effect of several factors on the performance of a piece of equipment, on the yield of a product, or on the characteristics of a test method, a considerable advantage is gained if the experiment is conducted so that the effects of changing each variable can be evaluated jointly with the effects of changing the other variables. This article deals with the planning of such experiments.
