Article Abstract

Three factors play an important role in the buying decision: Quality - Price - Delivery time. The same three points are just as important in the manufacturing process. What matters now, is to bring the optimization of these three aspects in the manufacturing process in as close correspondence as possible with those of the purchasing decision.

One way to increase quality and productivity simultaneously is application of preventive maintenance. This paper describes the interrelationship of quality and preventive maintenance and how they influence each other.
