Article Abstract

[This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.]
The use of generalized linear models (GLMs) in the analysis of quality improvement experiments is considered. GLMs allow the separate identification of the mean-variance relationships and the selection of the scale on which the effects are to be measured that is not offered by the data-transformation approach. Additionally, GLMs provide an extension of the response surface approach.
