Article Abstract

[This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.] The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama oversee scientific investigations requiring minimal gravitational forces for the successful conduct of experiments. A major problem has been the time it took from acceptance of an experiment proposal to actual conduct of the experiment. This problem was addressed at NASA's Physical Sciences Program Planning Conference in 1992 and a Language Processing(tm) Method was applied to gain solutions to the issue. In 1999 a study was conducted to determine the effects of changes made as a result of the conference. Findings of the study are described, as are key factors involved in the change process and the effect that LM Methodology had on the success of the conference.
