This introduction to two-version factorials and fractionals includes key concepts such as: the system of resolution used to characterize the designs; blocking; screening; designs obtained by projection; and the role of foldover run pairs. Part I of the paper covers Resolution III and Resolution IV designs. Part II covers Resolution V design.
