Article Abstract

The May 1997 issue of Quality Progress includes articles that help organizations and individuals make the most of changes in the employment contract. In the new workplace, individuals are responsible for careers that no longer include lifetime jobs. The articles deal with: starting a family in a dual-income household; establishing relationships between consultants and downsized companies; recognizing the negative effects of reengineering; and plans for a model workplace at Mitsubishi Motor Manufacturing of America Inc.
