Article Abstract

The sequence of development in this article is to present the conventional and well-documented binomial applications first. This is followed by the presentation of more convenient and simpler methods as alternatives to the conventional applications. This is followed by valuable extensions of binomial applications to time series analysis with particular attention to contemporary problems in reliability analysis occurring from very low failure rate components and systems.
