Article Abstract

The producer's tolerance concept (in contrast to the consumer's tolerance) follows naturally from the notion of continuous loss functions. Emerging producer tolerance methodology has proceeded without benefit of carefully defined assumptions. We rectify this omission and then propose a graphical alternative for determining this tolerance.
