Send manuscripts in Microsoft Word format via e-mail to Valerie Ellifson at email@example.com.
Type the manuscript, double-spaced, and allow at least 1-in. margins.
The paper should contain the following items in the order shown:
Title page. This shows the title of the article, name(s) of the author(s), an address, telephone and fax numbers and e-mail address for the contact author. Include acknowledgments, if desired. Most suitable titles will be no more than 10 words.
Abstract. This is a brief (200-word) summary of the article's main points, results or conclusions and their significance.
Keywords. These are words that identify the main topics of the article for indexing and referencing the article. Avoid using words that appear in the title. Alphabetize keywords.
Text. The body of the paper should be approximately 2,500 words. Begin with an introduction, explaining the significance of work discussed. Use terminology that is intelligible to readers from different disciplines.
For more information, see the Helpful Hints.
Reference list. This consists only of all literature referenced in the text. Be sure to number and group references at the end of the manuscript in the order in which they are cited in the text. Do not use Word’s automatic reference or footnote option.
Figures, as appropriate. Use figures to summarize lengthy material: for example, lists, comparisons or contrasts, case-study descriptions, methods (possibly in flowchart form), relational models and results. Use the term “Figure” to identify all such illustrations (including charts, tables and diagrams).
Indicate where in the text figures should appear. (“Insert Figure 1 about here.”) Do not incorporate figures or other illustrative material in text and do not embed them in the text on the disk. Place them at the end of paper, one figure or illustration to a page.
Appendix, as appropriate. Place technical material in an appendix. This includes detailed descriptions of research methodology and analysis.
Once we accept a manuscript for publication, we will ask each author to submit short biographical information.
Format. If you cannot submit via e-mail, use 8 1/2 x 11-inch paper, printed on one side only.
Submit four (4) unmarked copies (no personal names, company names or logos) and an electronic disk of the article to:
Lean & Six Sigma Review

The hard copies, disk and accompanying materials will not be returned unless specifically requested and a self-addressed, stamped envelope is provided.
