ISO 9001:2000 Proves Effective Therapy for Outpatient
In healthcare, where accreditations are critical, Sparrow
Adult Outpatient Rehabilitation has "transitioned"
its QMS from what was required for accreditation to a continual
improvement model that meets and exceeds those accreditation
requirements and is eliminating bureaucratic barriers that
used to divert human and other resources from customer service.
The Rehab Division may also be the first healthcare services
provider to complete the PSI ISO 9001:2000 Survey. Brigette
Kieft provides a look at the Rehab Divisions responses
to the Survey and additional information about its implementation
and registration process and changes related to its QMS, including
improvements made and benefits gained.
