US TAG and ISO/TC 176 Lose Consensus Builder: Allan Small
A key contributor to the development of ISO 9001, who was known for his
sense of humor and ability to build consensus on complicated issues, is
being mourned by members of the US TAG to ISO/TC 176 and of the TC itself.
On November 28, Allan Small, Vice Chair of the US TAG and US delegate
to TC 176 since 1994, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at the age of
52. Information about Small’s business and standards roles and tributes
from colleagues on the TAG and TC level are provided.
