Registrar Group Opposes Extending Transition Deadline
A group of registrars that has issued most of the accredited US QMS registration
certificates stands behind the December 15, 2003, deadline for the transitioning
of all ISO 9001/2/3:1994 certificates to ISO 9001:2000. Although the members
of the IAAR have discussed the accreditation offered by the IAR, which
would enable them to give clients the option of the IAR’s Phased
Transition Program (PTP), none of the IAAR members have pursued IAR accreditation.
In addition, the IAF has reaffirmed its December 15, 2003, deadline. Additional
information is provided.
