Transition Accelerates at Year-End; Total ISO 9000 Growth Flat

This detailed report on ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and QS-9000 registration activity in North America indicates that US registrations to ISO 9001:2000 almost doubled between September 10 and December 23, 2002, and more than doubled in Canada and Mexico. ISO 9001:2000 now represents 9.4% of US and 10.7% of North American registrations. And ISO 14001 levels are rising quickly. But will ISO 9001:2000 registrations accelerate enough in 2003 to have all 1994-registered organizations transitioned by the deadline? An examination of Canadian, Mexican, US and North American registration activity is provided.
