Strategies for Improvement: ISO 9000 and Beyond
Dan Reid writes that ISO 9001:2000 should be viewed as a
good starting point in that it represents only the minimum
requirements for a functional QMS. An organization must always
be exploring new provisions for its QMS that will drive improvement
of the system and organization. To help you understand the
opportunities for developing strategies for improvement to
make your QMS a driver of organizational and product improvement,
Reid examines some provisions that go beyond what ISO 9001:2000
requires but that begin with what is in ISO 9001:2000.
