CA "Oversight Group" to Focus on QMS Transition
Concerns
An "Oversight Group" first proposed at an IAF meeting
in Kyoto in November 2001 met in mid-May 2002 to develop a
better understanding of the factors contributing to the erosion
in creditability of ISO 9000 and in the acceptance of ISO
9001:2000. However, even in Kyoto it became clear that the
concerns were not with the creditability of ISO 9001:2000
itself, but of the registration process. Information is provided
on the meeting, and facts are briefly detailed about the state
of management system registration based on reports received
and discussions had with a range of sources at AQC and elsewhere.
