From Vision to Reality: Wheelock’s Six Sigma Journey

Alan Fazzari and Stanley Marash ask, "Can a small to mid-sized manufacturer implement Six Sigma and ISO 9001:2000 in a cost-effective way and see significant returns on its investment in a relatively short period of time?" They examine Wheelock, Inc., a small company that is enjoying the benefits of its efforts to implement both quality management initiatives. Fazzari and Marash explore the system and successes Wheelock already had, its planning and Six Sigma implementation processes and the initial successes of its quality initiatives. They provide two case studies of Six Sigma projects that Wheelock has undertaken and the results achieved.
