ISO 19011 Elevated to FDIS; US Likely to Approve

ISO 19011 was elevated to FDIS after improvements sought by the US delegation were made at a JWG meeting January 14-18, 2002. Although the US delegates were initially uncertain about the maturity of the EMS/QMS auditing standard, an assessment of the improvements contained in the FDIS has led the US leadership and delegates to lean toward recommending a vote of approval on both the international and national levels.
