SCC Survey: Management Systems Registrations Have Positive
Results
In January 2001, the SCC released the first comprehensive
survey on Canada’s experience with ISO 9000, ISO 14000
and QS-9000. The report is the result of a survey involving
2,916 telephone interviews with registered (1,010) and unregistered
(1,906) Canadian private-sector businesses. It provides a
detailed examination of implementation and registration issues
from the perspective of registered firms, nonregistered firms
that are using a management system conforming to a standard
and firms that are not using a conforming management system
and do not plan to register a formal system within 2 years.
