Quality Objectives: A Renewed Commitment to Quality
In examining a QMS element from ISO/FDIS 9001:2000, Edward
Culhane writes that Subclause 5.4.1, Quality Objectives, will
force organizations to incorporate good business practices
that will provide management with tools to identify problems.
Culhane compares the differences in how quality objectives
are addressed in ISO 9001:1994 vs. ISO/FDIS 9001:2000, highlights
the instances where objectives are referenced in the FDIS
and examines the contents of 5.4.1 and what they require and
offer to organizations.
