Legal Liability: Present and Future Litigation Involving ISO 9001-Based QMSs

Kolka writes that the summer of 2000 has included a number of developments that represent a crossroads for QMSs, where the future contains a growing body of legal cases where ISO 9001 has come into play, the potential for ISO 9001/4:2000 to provide the means of achieving increasingly effective control of processes and a still-developing liability situation that may involve QS-9000 facilities and on which lawyers are likely to be asking questions in seeking to understand what led to the liability situation.
