Doug Wood, Certified Quality Manager, CQE

During his 30 years of experience in the food industry and the printing industry, Douglas C. Wood has taken the lead on supplier quality systems, product planning, project return on investment systems, financial planning and budgeting systems, automated loss forecasting, office labor standards, work flow analyses, material handling implementations, process flow work measurement and analysis, multi-plant labor standard normalization, packaging simplification initiatives, artificial intelligence applications, workflow analysis for job shop operations, and multi-level scorecard design, development, and implementation.

As principal of DC Wood Consulting, Wood offers training to business executives in quality cost programs, business metrics, balanced scorecards, and implementing worker inspection. He has worked for The Kellogg Co. and Hallmark Cards Inc. as an industrial engineer, procurement quality engineer, product development engineer, forecasting/scheduling specialist, business intelligence/data warehousing specialist, measurement system developer, and engineering project data analyst.

In 2007, Wood authored a book on quality costs, The Executive Guide to Understanding and Implementing Quality Cost Programs.

Wood has a degree in industrial engineering from Western Michigan University and holds ASQ CQE and CMQ/OE certifications.
