How do I contact the ASQ library?

What kind of research services does the library offer to members?

Members may contact ASQ’s librarian to request literature searches, permissions, and other information. Members have access to a wealth of knowledge and information available through the library. The research is conducted in ASQ’s ever-expanding library of relevant, credible quality resources, including ASQ-published journals, conference proceedings, and Quality Press publications.

The library also can refer members to ASQ Divisions or Forums for answers to industry- and topic-specific questions.

How do I request copyright permission?

Where can I find benchmarking data?

Through an agreement with APQC (American Productivity and Quality Center), ASQ now offers access to a collection of benchmarking reports and metrics documents to members. Learn more

Where can I find information about quality software programs?

Members may find the annual ASQ Software Showcase and Directory in the June issue of Quality Progress.

Does ASQ have any information concerning college or university degrees for the quality field?

ASQ published information about quality degrees in the October 2004 issue of Quality Progress. We also have several other useful links on quality degrees.

I’m not an ASQ member. Are there any articles that I can read without joining ASQ?

Every issue of an ASQ published journal or magazine (except Technometrics) offers at least one open-access article. You will need to register to read the articles.

Also, you may purchase ASQ articles individually from the QIC. The nonmember price is $10 per article.

All purchased articles are sent via e-mail as PDF files. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher to view the documents. You can download Adobe Acrobat Reader for free. Orders placed during business hours are usually filled within one business day.

When will the next version of the ISO 9000 series of standards be published?

Publication for the next version of ISO 9001 is expected around October 2008. At this time, ISO 9004 publication is slated for August 2009. For more information visit ASQ’s Standards Central.

Where can I find information about salaries in the quality field?

The annual ASQ Salary Survey is published in the December issue of Quality Progress. ASQ members and QP subscribers have complete access. Nonmembers may purchase the survey for $29.95.
