Facility Design Change Management

by Ben Marguglio

This presentation briefly describes the processes that constitute the system for the management of changes to the design of a complex facility – starting the initial process for the proposal of a design change and ending with the processes needed to keep the facility’s as-built configuration, design documentation and support documentation in equilibrium. The major elements of each process in the system are discussed. Key performance indicators also are addressed. The take-away is an elementary understanding of the facility design change management system, the processes that make-up the system, and the major elements to be addresses in each process.
