U.S. Iter QA Approach
Abstract: The 500 MW ITER Tokamak is a dramatic scale-up in size and power from all fusion reactors previously built. The ITER Project puts together the science, engineering, and industrial efforts of seven countries that include half the world’s population. The quality assurance program to be discussed is a key to achieving the required nuclear license for the plant that will complete the fusion science and engineering foundation to allow industrial deployment of fusion electric plants by mid-21st century.
