ISO 14064 - Why Should You Care?
Abstract: ISO 14064:2006 was released as an approved international standard in March 2006. The new voluntary standard provides specifications and guidance for the quantification and reporting of greenhouse gases. The document describes "what to do" to quantify and report organization and project level GHG emissions based on a consensus of international "best practices." The new standard is important to U.S. based energy companies and other organizations because it provides a common architecture for emissions trading and GHG reduction programs worldwide.
