Formula Funding in New Mexico

Abstract: Second set of Slides presented at the Closing Keynote, "Creating a Globally Competitive Workforce", by Glenn Walters, Deputy Cabinet Secretary for the New Mexico Higher Education Department at the 2013 ASQ Advancing the STEM Agenda Conference at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids MI on June 3-4, 2013. This set of slides addresses an innovative approach to funding higher education in New Mexico by the state of New Mexico. In particular, in the first year of new funding based on outcomes, there is evidence of increased enrollment in STEM and in decreasing the achievement gap.
