Abstract: This article outlines the articles published in the April 2012 issue of the ASQ Higher Education Brief, with the focus of the importance of soft skills in higher education. The article discusses and provides links to articles examining the questions: To what extent are these skills important for quality professionals in the workplace? And what role should higher education institutions play in teaching these skills in the courses that prepare quality professionals for the workplace?
