Technical College’s GPS Program Guides Students Toward Success

Abstract: Horry-Georgetown Technical College has implemented significant changes to its systems of advising and support for students. These changes are being made as part of the implementation of the Quality Enhancement Plan, the Guided Plan for Success. A five-year implementation plan provides for collegewide modifications to academic advising services, tutorial support and new student orientation programs. Additionally, a five-year assessment plan provides for the collection and review of qualitative and quantitative data, as well as survey results.
