Recommendations to Realign the National STEM Education Agenda

Abstract: Pre-K-12 STEM education does not seem to improve despite large and continuous efforts. This brief synthesizes three promising areas in STEM education, which provide target areas for investment for the United States: A focus on early education, an integrated STEM approach, particularly with the momentum of pre-K-12 engineering education and a focus on STEM disciplines' contributions and sustainability of social good.
