What do you think is most important in implementing a Six Sigma project?

Rationale and goals.

Why do you think Six Sigma is important?

It is a toolbox for addressing difficult problems. Use A4 or plan-do-study-act (PDSA) for the easy stuff.

Why do you think quality is important?

It is life and death in the healthcare industry.

What’s your favorite benefit of quality?

It’s the right thing, and, generally, it saves money. 

Why did you choose to go into the quality field?

I love working with both numbers and people. Quality is a great career for doing both. 

What’s your best advice to someone new to quality?

Get your Six Sigma Black Belt.
