Six Sigma Forum (SSF) Advisory Council

Greetings from the Six Sigma Forum Chair, Joe Basala

I am enjoying leading the Six Sigma Forum (SSF) Advisory Council. Certainly, I have had big shoes to fill this year as I took over for Liz Keim, the previous SSF Chair. She started a lot of great things and I have tried to keep the momentum going. My term will expire in December 2013, and at that time, the baton will be passed to Rachel Delisle, the current Chair-Elect.

In 2012, we have collected SSF voice of the customer data and have been busy trying to implement various ideas that you submitted. As always, we will be supporting the ASQ Lean and Six Sigma Conference, which will be held in Phoenix in March 2013. Please stop by our booth and say, “Hi.” We hope to see you there!

Also in 2013, we will be rolling out a mentoring program targeted at our membership. Stay tuned for details, but if you think you have knowledge and skills to share with fellow SSF members, or could use the benefit to your career by establishing a mentoring relationship with one of our experienced SSF members, the mentor program may be the just the thing for you.

Thank you for your support of the ASQ SSF and hopefully we can continue to improve and make 2013 even better. If you have ideas for improvement, we would love to hear them.
